Hampton Rotary Raises over $1000 For the Streetcar 390 Campaign
The Hampton Rotary Club meeting for December 3rd was held at the Hampton History Museum. The Rotary board voted to reimburse each member that attended the Streetcar 390 event the full $50 donation.
It was a "steamy" December night of New Orleans delights including "Big Easy" food, music, beer, wine and a silent auction to help us bring back and restore the last Hampton Streetcar!
Hampton Rotary raised over $1000 in December for the Streetcar 390 campaign. The funds will go towards the refurbishment of the streetcar which used to serve the Peninsula's citizens. Go to the Hampton Streetcar 390 Project website for more information.
This is an ongoing project that will continue to need funds to refurbish the streetcar and save it as a vital part of Hampton's history. Please donate and make check payable to: Hampton 390 Streetcar Project. Mail to P.O. Box 1414, Hampton VA 23661. Tickets are also available at the Hampton History Museum in the gift shop.
